In Minnesota a new technique for finding new infestations of EAB is being employed. 1,800 branches have been collected from healthy-looking ash trees in five metropolitan areas and the bark has been stripped away. EAB larvae have been found in trees with no other signs or symptoms. This is one more reason we should act soon to protect our ash trees in the Rochester and Finger Lakes area. Waiting for signs and symptoms to show wastes time. We know EAB is in the area and we know it will kill all ash trees. Let’s save some trees!
